I really liked the spirit (?) of the group. Everyone was fun, talkative, and welcoming. I'll definitely be coming back! I would love to have a game night meetup with y'all. I think it would be very fun. Or, for those willing to trek to Stillwater, you're all welcome to join the game night we have at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Stillwater on the 2nd Thursday of each month from 6:30 pm to 9:00 pm. We play board games and card games (no video games), and would enjoy the company of more game players. The UU's are welcoming of all faiths, including Atheists, Freethinkers, Agnostics, Pagans and the like. Anyway, the Oklahoma Atheist meetup group was wonderful. Two thumbs up!

What a great group of people. It seems like I meet new people every time I attend an event. It's great conversation, new thoughts on various topics and simply a good time.

Im proud to represent such a diverse group of secular people in Oklahoma. From young to old, male to female, straight to gay, regardless of age or occupation, regardless of atheist, agnostic or even spiritual, we have them all, and welcome more.

Because church/state issues affect your lives and we need as many people as possible to help keep religion from imposing their dogma on all citizens.

Others should consider joining the group because this was my first MeetUp to attend and numerous people introduced themselves to me and our conversations were genial and engaging. I didn't feel like a stranger for very long in this group of people eager to foster a community atmosphere.

People should join because the group is so diverse - there's a place for everyone, from those just beginning to question to serious skeptics, from all kinds of backgrounds.

I think they would get to see a side of Atheists that would probably contradict everything they have been told about the godless. You don't need a god to be good and have a good time.

An evening of great conversation with educated, intelligent, pleasant people is always better than an evening in front of the television. You can always count on meeting people and having interesting conversation at this meetup!

Others should join this group simply because (assuming the pretext) ultimately this is a group concerned with being rational about anything and everything else.

there needs to be a place in the world to express free thought and ideals it is a sacrilege what mass religion does to the human mind makes us all drones trained to think in 1 track ways

I know I needed the support that there were others like me who shared my beliefs (or non-beliefs) and there was absolute open-mindedness and tolerance I've not experienced in any church or religious organization. I've only realized in the last year or so that unbelievers are not immoral degenerates with horns like I've been led to believe all my life and actually meeting people in person reinforces my optimism.

Anyone who wants to preserve our basic freedom of and from religion should be aware and active to prevent a determined fundamentalist religious minority from imposing their religious views on our society.

  •  Join this group to help stop out ignorance. We need all the help we can get... How can someone get through school and not know how sea shells get on top of mountains? Did we stop teaching science at all levels?
